Registered Veterinary Technologist

Gabrielle graduated from Granville Business College’s Veterinary Office Assistant program in 2011 and worked in specialty practice. She then went on to graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 2014 as an RVT. She has worked in a small animal practice that specialized with pocket pets and exotics and works part time at Vancouver Aquarium with a variety of species including fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and marine mammals.

What do you love about working at MRVH?
*The quality of care and attention given to every pet that walks through the door

What is one work skill that you are proud of?
* I am a problem solver and am able to MacGyver equipment to the individual patient’s needs

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?
*Seeing the moment where a pet reconnects with their person after a visit to the clinic

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
*Play the ukulele

If you could be any animal, what would it be?
*Hands down a sea otter

Favourite Species?
*That’s a hard one for me… BUT favourite species to date: walrus, axolotl, and of course the chihuahua
